What the bodySHIFT training is all about


bodySHIFT’s unique approach is a result of Leanne’s extensive experience in many diverse physical endeavours. It offers a main foundation in Pilates Mat exercises for core strength and body awareness and also provides various options in cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. Drawing on principles from Joseph Pilates, current Physical Fitness knowledge, Modern Dance, Kundalini Yoga as well as Leanne’s Marathon and Triathlon experience, bodySHIFT uses many complimentary methods in order to provide clients with a high degree of diverse, specialized and sophisticated training. Clients are thus given a wide range of opportunities and methods to attain their optimum fitness and health goals. 


bodySHIFT aims is to help you work towards your goals and desires with a physical program that is created with you and for you; one that will be based on your own personality, likes and lifestyle. This physical program will be designed with the specifics to help you achieve your goals over time. It strives to create variety in all the exercises and uses imaginative techniques to heighten body awareness and well-being that in turn facilitates self-motivation. bodySHIFT provides thoughtful, safe and highly effective training through careful program planning, the use of proper form and technique and a balanced approach to the entire you, not just your muscles! It is about SHIFT in all directions of your life: mind, body and soul. 

Where does the training take place?
There are several options. You can come to the bodySHIFT home studio, Leanne can bring her equipment to your home or we can work in your condo gym. 

How do I get started?
I begin with a free consultation and listen to you. What you are looking for, what you want to achieve and the ways you see yourself doing this. I will answer any questions you have about myself, my training techniques and how I work. From there, if we are in alignment to move forward together, we will establish the exercises and approaches that we feel are in line with who you are, what you like to do and what you want to achieve. We’ll then set up a training schedule and workout location to facilitate it. It’s that simple!
